Description

This course explores more advanced principles of Visual Merchandising. Including fashion brand styling, in-store visual merchandising, product presentation and store layouts.

 

Understanding the effective use of retail marketing material and graphics within windows and in store. 


Presenting the importance of creating a harmonious store layout and how this can help to enhance the stores customer flow.


Students will apply these principles to design their own fashion window and research store retail  shop floor layouts following a set project brief.

Course programme

Classes are held in an online virtual classroom, using the online video conferencing program, Zoom–providing a live interactive experience between the student and tutor.


Students and tutor can share screens to view presentations and critique student’s course work.

  3. Styles in retail/current trends
  4. Merchandise selection and accessories
  5. Looking at customer flow and shop ability
  6. Colour, texture and lighting
  7. Window displays
  8. Creating an effective link selling hot spot space instore
  9. Mannequin styling practice
  10. Graphics and props
  11. Retail marketing material
  12. Understanding the importance of using a planogram

We just ask that you have access to a reliable internet connection and speakers or headphones for audio content.

Course Times


Courses run for a total of 6 hours, split between two 3-hour classes held over a 2-week period.


Courses can be booked on dates and times to suit so please advise upon your preferred dates and
