Summer VM Courses at LCF

This month I have been very busy teaching the Summer Visual Merchandising Courses for The University of the Arts London, The London College of Fashion.

The 3 week course taught to international students as an introduction into Visual Merchandising, covered all the basic subjects of Window Dressing, Mannequin Styling, Visual Merchandising and Store Layout principles. Students carried out the practical part of the course in the fantastic window studios at LCF. I arranged a store tour at House of Fraser, Oxford Street – where students were taken around the store by a Senior Visual Merchandiser. This helped the students to get a clearer idea of what is involved within the VM role in store.  The students also really enjoyed the fantastic ” Made In Mexico ” exhibition that we visited at The Fashion & Textile Museum.
