The Ultimate Multi Sensory Retail Experience at Selfridges

by | Jan 30, 2022

Welcome to my first blog post of 2022 ! It’s been a busy first month of the year with the launch of this term’s Online Visual Merchandising Courses for The University of The Arts London, its been great to get back to teaching again after the Christmas break.

During my classes it has been a popular topic to discuss the importance of creating a reason to encourage our customers to come back to our physical stores and shop again after the effects of the pandemic. I feel the current Selfridges Corner Shop Pop Up concept titled ” Universe ” showcasing fashion archive pieces by Paco Rabanne and art from Victor Vasarely is a fantastic example of creating a multi sensory experience in our retail stores.

My visit to this exhibition at Selfridges last week was well worth the experience, mixing sound and theatre to the corner shop space to create a memorable shopping experience. I would recommend a visit if you are in London, the installations run until 27th March 2022.

If you would like more information on the online and face to face courses I will be teaching for The University of the Arts London for both The London College of Fashion & Central Saint Martins during 2022, please check out their short courses web link below ;
