Visual Merchandising Courses For NIF Global Fashion Institute India
This month I visited NIF Global, New York Institute of Fashion in India, representing The London School of Trends whom I teach the Visual Merchandising Short Courses for here in London. My visit included running 10 Visual Merchandising workshops in 10 NIF Global’s Centre’s across India, including cities Mumbai, Indore, Delhi, Jaipur, Kolkata, Gandhinagar & Ahmedabad and Hyderabad.
I was so grateful for this amazing opportunity to visit the brilliant students and teachers at the NIF Global Centre’s and was so impressed by the talented work being produced by their students, which included block printing, tailoring, embroidery and furniture design.♥️ I was overwhelmed by the positive response and welcome I received from both students and staff and it was fantastic to see so much interest in Visual Merchandising – a subject not widely taught in India but an industry which is rapidly growing with the increase of retail openings across India.
Many students are planning on launching their own Fashion or Interior brands, so the subjects covered on my workshop on Digital Visual Merchandising were very helpful to them with assisting them with launching their own websites and social channels.
My workshops covered the effective Visual Merchandising techniques to enhance your physical and digital stores, where I was covering the following subjects ;
Introduction into the Visual Merchandising principles and how these can be applied both creatively & commercially for physical and digital retail.
Current Consumer Trends and how to apply these within Visual Merchandising. Focus upon creating the ultimate multi sensory retail experience for our customer.
Effective window design and styling. Considering the importance of colour, consumer trends, concept and lighting.
Connecting your window with your in store hot spot. Effective merchandising techniques for promotional spaces.
Applying the key VM techniques to product presentation and effective link selling techniques for physical and digital retail.
The importance of your store layout and product locations, applying effective customer flow for physical and digital retail.
Thank you to all the NIF Global students for being the most amazing audience and for attending the Visual Merchandising Workshops held this month.
I hope the Visual Merchandising workshops have inspired you to learn more about this amazing industry 🤩
It’s a teaching experience I will never forget, thank you !
