This month I enjoyed running an online two hour webinar for The University of Arts London, Central St. Martins, titled ;

“Visual Merchandising Trends for digital Retail”

During the webinar I was presenting and discussing how our well recognised Visual Merchandising principles and techniques can be effectively applied to E-Commerce stores and across social & digital content.

It was a pleasure to meet the Interior Design students attending the Summer & Autumn Visual Merchandising Workshops at London School of Trends. I really enjoyed running the two day workshops which involved a visit to the retailers at Kings Cross,Coals Drop Yard and visiting the newly launched Marc Jacobs flagship store in Regent Street. 

Last month I had the pleasure in running a bespoke Visual Merchandising Course for independent retailer, Two Ducks Lifestyle Store in Woking, Surrey.
The practical workshop was held in store with owner, Claire and her amazing team where I presented the key principles of Visual Merchandising, focusing upon how these can be used effectively for both practically and commercially purposes.
We then started to implement the teaching into practice, creating a Summer hot spot area which connected up the concept and theme of their current window. We also worked on product presentation, link selling and considered product location to maximise the product located at the eye level focal point for their customers.

Following on from my Retail Safari tour last month for the students attending Moodart Fashion School in Verona, Italy. 

It was great to run another Visual Merchandising workshop for the students here in London. The workshop comprised of a two hour theory lecture, where I discussed the changes to consumer trends with the students and how these are having an impact within the Visual Merchandising industry.

Loved visiting the truly inspiring Jacquemus Pop Up Concepts at Selfridges, London this week with a group of students from Moodart Fashion School in Verona, Italy.
I organised a Retail Safari tour for the visiting students and our first stop at Selfridges could not have been more of a brilliant example of a Retailer creating a true sensory shopping experience for the customer.
